My visit has been probably my favorite photographic journey of Manhattan. Here are the pictures from my time there. All the pictures were shot with a 1974 Rollei 35S. I find it to be freeing to shoot with a compact film camera instead of a compact digital camera. There is no LCD screen to distract you from the task at hand, which is to document your surroundings. With the Rollei 35 I can pre-focus and meter ahead of time, allowing me to shoot from the hip. I can shoot very quickly to capture the moment before it disappears.
