The Boulder Creek runs from west to east through downtown Boulder and east. The South Bank starts at 9th and goes west to 6th.
At the Boulder Library and west a few blocks on the south side of the creek has long been the part of creek that most people would avoid. Five years ago, I would never consider a stroll through the South Bank even during the day. These days this spot has really turned into a relativity nice place to hangout. Coming from the east side of the South Bank it’s still appears quite sketchy, but this is Boulder and all things considered it is still relatively safe.
