Did the Red Sox Win The World Series or Somethin’?
Oh, Barack Obama was just elected president while I’m in downtown Boulder… The people took the celebration to the street. Surprisingly the police did NOT tear gas the crowd like you might expect. The police in Boulder have a tendency to over react when it comes to large crowds. I’m sure they were saving the gas to use on the Hill after the Iowa - Colorado football game next Saturday.
All in all, the night was pleasant and people were happy. Someone did confront me with some hostility about working for Scripps and that I should find a new job. Thankfully I don’t work for Scripps.
Personally I had a wonderful evening with my fellow Americans celebrating what we believe to be a successful election. WooHoo!
No you dummy, Obama won the World Series! And don’t worry, you’ll get your tear gas… when you least expect it.
Oh, and Scripps is hiring… might be a nice career change for you
