Endway

Published by tc under Uncategorized

Most of you guys know Ben Zanfagna. He’s a Newburyport local and all around great guy. His band Endway needed some photos for there promotion and Benny was gracious enough to allow me to photograph him and his band mates. The band arranged for some time at LouisBoston. This shop is really unbelievablely beautiful, a great place to have photographed the band.

UPDATE:
Going over a few hundred images takes it toll. I am still going through the editing process and then to the corrections process. A last minute request from Ben, well worth the experience…
Here are a couple of my favorites.

Crawl To The Alter That Is Ween!

Published by tc under Uncategorized

Two nights with Ween at the Filmore should never be taken too lightly. You walk in refreshed and charged and you walk out completely exhausted.

This time was no different, though I will admit that Wednesday night was not the best show that Ween ever put on. It was a good show, and they played tunes that they rarely play live, which is fantastic. They just did not seem to be at the top of their game.

Thursday night with Ween was an epic event. I don’t recall ever seeing a better show. I thought the second show in Boulder a few years back was the best show I had seen, Last night took that top spot for me. I am not saying I have seen a lot of Ween shows, but I have to say this was the best one yet. The set list seemed to be a Top 40 of their most popular songs, and they were executed with utter mastery. They get better each year. Perhaps I appreciate them more, but they never rest on their laurels. They bust ass out on that stage for three hours a night. They played a few new songs mixed in with some solid favorites like Piss up a Rope and Gabriel as well as Scrape the Mucas from My Brain. Last night they showed the world they’re not joking about this rock music thing. We could expect to see these guys on the rock scene for years to come.

Ween at the Filmore!

Published by tc under Uncategorized

I can tell you how much I love going to a Ween show, but I cannot tell you enough how terrible the HVAC at the Filmore is. That place has great sound but awfully warm and muggy, with little or no air flow.

Ween’s show on the Wednesday was good and they played songs I have never heard live. They played Tender Situation and it has to be the best I ever heard it. Overall though, it was not the best I ever heard them. They were all over the place as far song transitions. They did have have a great hippy-jam-band thing going on with Pandy Fackler and that was fun. I am hoping tonight’s show they will step it back up to the Ween we all know and love.
