Portrait photography is a very demanding discipline, but creating a great portrait is not rocket science. The best way to make a great image with your subject is to get know who they are. When people seek to get their portrait taken, they want to a good picture. They just may not know how to go about this. This where a photographer that understands and likes people really succeed in having happy clients. Before I even pick up a camera, I want to talk to my subject for a while, I want to know who they are and more importantly, I want them to know who I am.
